GIVE18 is proud of the leadership and guidance of its all volunteer Board of Trustees. The board includes highly accomplished leaders in business and medical fields. Every one of our board members has a personal connection to cancer that drives their passion and commitment to finding a cure.
The Wasserstrom Company
Mark Thomas is the Director of Hospitality Sales for The Wasserstrom Company. Mark and his wife Adriana, daughters Sofia & Erika live in Gahanna, Ohio. In 2006, my Mother's twin sister (Mary Bolte) passed away after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Her courage gave me the inspiration to try and make a difference. I decided to use my love of golf as a vehicle to raise money to fund cancer research projects. Together with a group of dedicated friends, colleagues and relatives we started a grass roots effort to end a disease that unfortunately touches all of us. Unfortunately, all too frequently I am reminded of the need to continue our important work to fund this critical research.
Zink Foodservice GroupJim has been on the GIVE18 board since inception. His primary responsibilities include fund raising, sponsor development and strategic direction. A Columbus native, Jim is a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory and Notre Dame. He resides in Westerville Ohio, with his wife, Karin, and their three children.
WaypointKevin, an Ohio Native, resides in Hilliard, OH with his wife Candice and their two young sons; Evan and Jonah. Kevin loves nothing more than spending time with his friends and family; watching movies, travelling, and playing golf. When he was first approached by Mark Thomas with the idea of GIVE18, he thought it would be a wonderful way for him to use his love of golf as a way of raising money to help fund cancer research because up to that point several of his family members had already been directly affected by the disease and the various available treatments. However, it was losing his stepmom to lung cancer in March of 2015 that reignited his commitment to helping raise as much money as possible for cancer research in the hopes of one day eradicating it altogether. Kevin is currently employed as an Account Executive with Waypoint, a national foodservice sales and marketing agency.
The Wasserstrom CompanyMark Corbitt has been with the Wasserstrom Company for over 20 years. Finding a cure took on a whole new meaning for Mark as his wife Joyce of 12 years was diagnosed with cancer that eventually took her life in 2014. Mark is a staunch supporter of GIVE18 and spends many hours working with GIVE18 to raise money for cancer research, education, families and our community. Mark can often be found most weekends running in local 5k's all the way up to half marathons raising money for one cause or another. Together we will win this battle, and we will find a cure!

TitleistRod Koch is the territory manager for the Titleist golf company. Rod, his wife Liz, daughter, Elle, and son, Jacob live in Powell, Ohio. In October of 2009, Jacob was diagnosed with a Wilms (malignant) tumor on his left kidney and accompanying tumors in his lungs. Jacob's treatment consisted of multiple rounds of chemotherapy at Nationwide Children's Hospital and radiation at Ohio State University Hospital. We are proud to say Jacob has been CANCER FREE since November 2010. The Kochs' have directly benefited from the research funding raised by organizations like GIVE18 Fore Cancer Research and look forward to helping eradicate this disease.
The Wasserstrom CompanyChad Cerra is a Group Sales Manager for The Wasserstrom Company. Chad and his wife Erica, their son Carson, and daughter Whitney live in Dublin, Ohio. Like the majority of us, Chad's family has been significantly impacted by cancer. His paternal grandfather passed away as a result of a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. Chad's two grandmothers and aunt are breast cancer survivors with The James Cancer Hospital playing a critical role in their treatment. Serving on the board of GIVE18 has provided him with an opportunity to make a difference and fight back against this terrible disease.
Pulte HomesMike Anderson has been a new home sales consultant for 14 years. He works for Pulte Homes. He lives in Lewis Center with his wife and 2 children. Mike believes that cancer affects all of us, and his dedication to GIVE18 FORE Cancer Research is his way of giving back.
The Wasserstrom CompanyJeff Raupple is a National Account Manager at The Wasserstrom Company. My wife, April, and I live in Dublin, Ohio. While a freshman at Ohio State my mother was diagnosed with stomach cancer. She lost her battle a little over a year later. At a young age you do not always know how to get involved in the battle against cancer. Upon meeting colleagues at The Wasserstrom Company after graduating from Ohio State, I learned about GIVE18. It connected my love for golf, The Ohio State University and The James Cancer Research Hospital to fighting cancer. I am proud to be part of a team that is very passionate about fighting this disease.
PGA Professional The Lakes Golf & Country ClubEddie Kline has worked as a Golf Professional in Columbus, Ohio for the past 25 years. He had been the Head Golf Professional at The Medallion Club and Heritage Golf Club before returning to The Lakes Golf & Country Club in 2010. Eddie became a part of our GIVE18 team after his wife Katie was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer in August of 2011. Already involved with the GIVE18 Charity Pro-Am outing as the Host Professional he became more involved by running his own invitational proceeds benefiting GIVE18.
Myrick AdvertisingChris Myers is the President of Myrick Advertising, and lives in Lewis Center, OH with his wife Jennifer and two daughters Alexandria, and Samantha. In late 2013 a tumor was found in my 2 year old Cousin Jansen. The tumor sat where the head and the neck connect. After many months of Jansen fighting, we thought the chemo was working. On the final check, doctors discovered that the tumor had doubled in size, and spread down his spine and behind his eye. Jansen lost his battle soon after that. After this happened I was looking for a group to get involved with, and Mark happened to call me for some print material, and it was a sign for me to get involved with a great organization where it is all about the research. Considering one of my hobbies is playing golf it was a perfect mix of fun while helping a cause that struck my family for the first time.
